The Salmon River is the longest stretch of free flowing water in the lower 48 states. It drifts past miles of breathtaking mountains and craggy cliffs and its fishing is world-famous. It also offers some of the best whitewater rafting in Idaho—and some of its best white-sand beaches. The Salmon is steeped in history too, and is home to Native American pictographs, old Chinese miner cabins and much more. Lewis and Clark named it the “River of no Return” because of its untamed waters and unforgettable beauty.
For all overnight rafting trips, lodging is available at the Salmon Rapids Lodge. We’re located in front of the lodge. If you stay there, mention you are rafting with H2O Idaho for an outfitter’s discount! You can reach the lodge at 1-877-957-2743.
