Fishing is fun. Catching is better. Bass fishing is best July through October when the water warms up. The Salmon River is home to a large population of small-mouth bass, who are excellent fighters. Catch rates are high all along the Salmon River. The half-day trip is perfect for fisherman of all ages and abilities.
Here fishy fishy. This is an extended version of our half-day trip (see above) and is perfect for fishermen who want to spend an entire day on the Salmon River.
The Salmon River is the longest stretch of free flowing water in the lower 48 states. It drifts past miles of breathtaking mountains and craggy cliffs and its fishing is world-famous. It also offers some of the best whitewater rafting in Idaho—and some of its best white-sand beaches. The Salmon is steeped in history too, and is home to Native American pictographs, old Chinese miner cabins and much more. Lewis and Clark named it the “River of no Return” because of its untamed waters and unforgettable beauty.
